Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Jager!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jager throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Jager throws a good cross that connects.
Jager moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Budgell looks to score with a jab to the body but Jager is just out of range.

Budgell is stalling here. Jager is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Budgell seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jager has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Budgell cracks Jager with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Budgell is nestled in close to Jager, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Jager had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Budgell is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jager Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Budgell's back instead.
