PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucretia Reflection (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isiah Acer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reflection comes into the arena with America - Horse With No Name blaring out of the sound system. Acer has chosen Mad at Gravity- Burn as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Isiah Acer is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucretia Reflection!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, Isiah Acer!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Reflection doesn't seem bothered though.
Reflection checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Reflection is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Acer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reflection was well out of range. Poor timing from Acer.
Reflection tries to close the distance and clinch up but Acer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Acer throws an overhand right that lands on Reflection's shoulder, as Reflection tries to avoid the shot.
Reflection lands with a nice body punch.
Reflection slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Acer fails with a takedown attempt.
Reflection throws a head kick that Acer semi-blocks.


It looks like Isiah Acer has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Acer dodges the punch combination from Reflection.
Reflection throws a right hand that Acer ducks under and follows up with a left that Acer also avoids with ease.

Reflection bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Acer's head backwards.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That's time! Reflection's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Reflection cracks Acer with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Reflection slips a jab from Acer.
Acer takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Acer shoots in but Reflection avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A big right from Acer misses.
A decent looking cross lands there for Reflection.
Acer is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Reflection throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Acer.

Acer manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Reflection on his heels. He'll look to pass Reflection's guard now, I'm sure.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Acer stands and throws Reflection's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Acer is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Reflection has managed to free his arm - good work.

Reflection tries to roll over but Acer keeps him under control.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Acer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reflection's waist but Reflection gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Acer off to one side.

Acer throws a head kick that misses.
Acer takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A nice leg kick lands there from Reflection.
Reflection keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A punch combination from Reflection misses.
Reflection throws a leg kick but Acer sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Acer throws a lazy uppercut

and Reflection counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Reflection.

Acer manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Acer controls Reflection momentarily but Reflection frees himself.

Acer moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Reflection is pushing down on Acer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Acer is fighting to maintain full guard but Reflection has managed to sneak the leg through.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Reflection is looking to take a break and control but Acer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lucretia Reflection will probably get the nod.

Acer on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Reflection moves out of range of the leg kick from Acer.

Acer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Reflection was covering up waiting for the punch and Acer finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Reflection lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Acer!
Acer stops Reflection from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Reflection tries to control but Acer wriggling away.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Acer is on top in guard.

Reflection escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Acer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Acer wants to free his trapped foot but Reflection is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Acer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Acer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Reflection manages to work his way to half guard, despite Acer's best efforts.

Acer is nestled in close to Reflection, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Acer goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Reflection is on top in guard.
Oh Reflection is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Acer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Acer prevents Reflection from improving his position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Acer is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Reflection!
Acer looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Reflection covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Isiah Acer!
A less than humble Isiah Acer misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
