Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Deacon Griggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Jiu Jitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griggs comes to the cage accompanied by Church by T-Pain. Deacon Griggs has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Deacon Griggs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mr Jiu Jitsu! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Jiu Jitsu enables Griggs to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jiu Jitsu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Griggs has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Griggs is looking to work some ground and pound but Jiu Jitsu has wrist control. Jiu Jitsu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Griggs trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Griggs tries to free his leg and advance position but Jiu Jitsu is retaining full guard. Griggs throwing strikes from guard but Jiu Jitsu blocks nicely. Griggs pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jiu Jitsu is keeping the position for now. Jiu Jitsu bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Griggs's guard. Jiu Jitsu is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Griggs has momentary wrist control but Jiu Jitsu slips an elbow through the middle. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jiu Jitsu postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jiu Jitsu throws a strike but Griggs rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jiu Jitsu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jiu Jitsu looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Griggs looking to sit in guard and control but Jiu Jitsu gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Jiu Jitsu stands up over Griggs, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Griggs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jiu Jitsu throws a strike but Griggs rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jiu Jitsu looking to control.
Jiu Jitsu lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Griggs! Jiu Jitsu goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Griggs is on top in guard.
Jiu Jitsu is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Griggs defends well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Griggs trying to control the position from guard on top but Jiu Jitsu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griggs loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Griggs passes easily into side control. Nice work. Jiu Jitsu gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Griggs not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Griggs wants to advance to full mount but Jiu Jitsu doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Griggs looking to sit in guard and control but Jiu Jitsu gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Jiu Jitsu in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Jiu Jitsu trying to control the position from guard on top but Griggs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jiu Jitsu working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Griggs working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jiu Jitsu. Griggs looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jiu Jitsu is one step ahead there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mr Jiu Jitsu dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Griggs fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jiu Jitsu to the ground. Griggs is now in Jiu Jitsu's guard. Griggs trying to control the position from guard on top but Jiu Jitsu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Griggs postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jiu Jitsu is on top in guard.

Griggs working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jiu Jitsu. Jiu Jitsu throws a strike but Griggs rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griggs throws an elbow that misses. Jiu Jitsu uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Griggs's guard. Nice move by Jiu Jitsu! Jiu Jitsu is looking to work some ground and pound but Griggs has wrist control. Jiu Jitsu slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Griggs working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jiu Jitsu. Griggs is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jiu Jitsu defends well. Mr Jiu Jitsu has got the better of the ground game so far. Griggs wants to sweep here but Jiu Jitsu controlling him for the moment.

Jiu Jitsu tries to free his leg and advance position but Griggs is retaining full guard. Griggs working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jiu Jitsu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jiu Jitsu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griggs wants to control but Jiu Jitsu passes easily into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Griggs trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Jiu Jitsu manages to pass to mount!
Jiu Jitsu throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Griggs because Jiu Jitsu loaded up on that one. Jiu Jitsu with a couple of short strikes. Jiu Jitsu with a couple of short strikes. Griggs suckers Jiu Jitsu into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Griggs is now in Jiu Jitsu's guard!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Griggs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jiu Jitsu swivels though and keeps the full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jiu Jitsu looking for a guillotine here but Griggs defends easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mr Jiu Jitsu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Griggs cracks Jiu Jitsu with a good jab. Griggs throws an overhand right that lands on Jiu Jitsu's shoulder, as Jiu Jitsu tries to avoid the shot. Griggs scores with a punch to the head. Griggs misses with a body shot.
Griggs stuffs the takedown attempt from Jiu Jitsu. Jiu Jitsu gets slowly back to his feet. Good standup being displayed there by Griggs as he connects with a hook. Griggs fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jiu Jitsu manages to avoid it. Griggs tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jiu Jitsu was well out of range. Poor timing from Griggs. Jiu Jitsu looks to score with a jab to the body but Griggs is just out of range. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Griggs, as that shot connected.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griggs connects with a nice looking jab.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jiu Jitsu. Griggs connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jiu Jitsu. Jiu Jitsu circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Jiu Jitsu jabs Griggs to the body, keeping him at a distance. Griggs fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Griggs is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Jiu Jitsu misses with a double jab
and Griggs counters with a nice body shot. A slow jab from Griggs misses its intended target. Jiu Jitsu is looking to clinch. Jiu Jitsu gets caught flat footed, as Griggs shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Jiu Jitsu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Griggs is one step ahead there. Griggs drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jiu Jitsu manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Griggs has Jiu Jitsu in his guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Griggs looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Jiu Jitsu wants to control from the top but Griggs keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jiu Jitsu postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Jiu Jitsu trying to control the position from guard on top but Griggs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Griggs keeping full guard, as Jiu Jitsu tries to pass. Griggs looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Griggs trying to keep a closed guard but Jiu Jitsu is proving a slippery customer.
Mr Jiu Jitsu is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Jiu Jitsu wants to control from the top but Griggs keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jiu Jitsu is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mr Jiu Jitsu wasn't active enough on the ground. Jiu Jitsu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Griggs.
Deacon Griggs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jiu Jitsu throws out a leg kick but Griggs moves out of range and Jiu Jitsu only half commits. Jiu Jitsu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Griggs. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Griggs shoots for a double leg takedown but Jiu Jitsu sprawls well. He's pushed Griggs's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Griggs swings for the body but Jiu Jitsu moves out of range.
Jiu Jitsu tries to close the distance and clinch but Griggs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! Deacon Griggs showed his dominance in that final round. I think Jiu Jitsu has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
