Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tau Okar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mayuri Tatsuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tatsuki has chosen Norther - Released as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Tau Okar! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Mayuri Tatsuki! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tatsuki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Okar pinned against the cage. Okar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Okar tried to score with a low kick but Tatsuki checks it. A slapping leg kick lands for Okar.
Tatsuki swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Okar. Okar tries to clinch up but Tatsuki circles away and keeps his distance. Okar clinches with his opponent.
A short right from Okar on the inside. Tatsuki blocks a body shot from Okar. Tatsuki manages to break the clinch.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tatsuki prevents a body shot from Okar. Okar lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Tatsuki backwards. Okar presses Tatsuki against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Tatsuki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Okar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Okar scores with a hook to the body. Tatsuki takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Okar doesn't manage to clinch there - Tatsuki circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Okar misses with a body kick. Tatsuki takes a head kick and keeps coming.

and Okar counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Okar tries a low kick but Tatsuki avoids it. A low kick from Tatsuki is predictable there and Okar counters with a three punch combo that has Tatsuki backing up. Tatsuki nods at Okar to acknowledge the strikes. Tatsuki scoring well with a low kick there.
Okar tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Tatsuki is able to avoid easily. Okar wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Tau Okar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Okar thuds a left hand into Tatsuki's body. Tatsuki thows a body shot but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Okar throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tatsuki. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Okar misses with the body kick and Tatsuki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Okar catches Tatsuki with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Tatsuki fails with a takedown attempt. A punch combination from Tatsuki misses. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tatsuki on the wrong end of a nice hook. Okar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tatsuki circles away quickly and effectively. Tatsuki pushing out the jab but it's not landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tau Okar dominated that round. That's time! Okar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Tatsuki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Okar tries to avoid it but Tatsuki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Okar to the ground. Okar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tau Okar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Okar lands with a cross. Okar looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Okar misses with a left hand and Tatsuki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A big right from Okar misses. Tatsuki smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Okar lands with a kick to the ribs.

Okar motions for Tatsuki to come forward. Okar throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Okar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tatsuki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Okar goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice cross by Tatsuki. Tatsuki shoots in for a takedown but Okar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Okar explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Okar on the wrong end of a nice jab. Okar with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Tatsuki to score with a decent uppercut. Okar misses with an attempted mid kick.
Okar lands the left hand. Okar throws a chopping leg kick but Tatsuki manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Okar connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tatsuki misses with a few strikes there.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Okar enables Tatsuki to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Okar manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Okar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tatsuki is controlling him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tatsuki throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tatsuki wants to control from the top but Okar keeps moving. Okar is trying to control the position but Tatsuki postures up. Tatsuki makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Tatsuki postures up in Okar's guard and throws a big left but Okar blocks it. Okar wants to sweep but no luck. Tatsuki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tatsuki is working Okar over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Okar pushes Tatsuki off and scrambles back to his feet.
Tatsuki connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Okar momentarily.
Okar looks to throw the jab but Tatsuki is out of range. Tatsuki chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Tatsuki fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Tau Okar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mayuri Tatsuki.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tatsuki lands with a right hand. Tatsuki checks a low kick from Okar. Okar misses the shot to the body. Sloppy strikes from Tatsuki. Those never looked like landing. Okar scores with a kick to the midsection. A jab lands there for Tatsuki. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Okar misses with a left hand and Tatsuki counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Okar thinking. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Okar misses with a looping right. Okar throws a leg kick that is checked and Tatsuki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Tatsuki throws the left hand but Okar avoids the punch easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mayuri Tatsuki will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Okar closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Tatsuki fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Okar is out of range. Tatsuki lands a body shot.
Decent striking displayed by Okar there. Tatsuki shoots in but Okar avoids the takedown attempt easily. Tau Okar is winning the standup battle so far. Okar throws a body kick that misses. Okar throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tatsuki sees it coming and avoids it easily. Nice straight punches there by Tatsuki. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Tatsuki.
Okar is rocked! A slow jab from Tatsuki misses its intended target. Oh Okar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Tatsuki connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Okar to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Tatsuki!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mayuri Tatsuki! Mayuri Tatsuki retains his lightweight title! Mayuri Tatsuki was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
