The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janssen looks to score with a jab to the body but Paradise is just out of range.
Paradise gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Janssen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Paradise shoots and misses

and Janssen counters by moving into the clinch.
Paradise drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Frans Janssen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Coolio Paradise.
A right hook to the body lands for Janssen.
Paradise has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Janssen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Janssen works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Paradise looks winded!

It looks like Coolio Paradise has been cut.
Janssen stalls.
Paradise wants a takedown but no success here.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Paradise has eaten all the pies!
Janssen pressing his opponent against the cage.
Paradise drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Janssen gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Janssen lands a nice elbow.
Janssen lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Janssen lands a shoulder strike.
Paradise is trying to pull guard but Janssen has him pressed against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Janssen.

Janssen lands a vicious elbow to the side of Paradise's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Janssen tries to finish him with strikes but Paradise still seems able to defend himself so Janssen steps back and lets Paradise get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.

Paradise is rocked!

That has opened up Coolio Paradise's cut even more.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Janssen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Paradise is still on wobbly legs! Can Janssen finish him?
Janssen connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Paradise avoids the body shot from Janssen.

Janssen pushes Paradise up against the cage in a clinch.
Janssen throws a big uppercut that drops Paradise! More strikes from Janssen and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Paradise lies dazed against the cage as Janssen celebrates with his cornermen!
