Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Flavio Sandoval!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Penn.
A clash of legs there as Penn blocks the low kick.
Sandoval misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Penn.
Sandoval connects with an inside leg kick.
Sandoval digs a good body shot into Penn's ribs.
Sandoval fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Penn.

Sandoval throws a solid leg kick but Penn takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Sandoval.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sandoval, right into the meat.
Sandoval blocks a low kick nicely.
Sandoval turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Sandoval cracks a nice hook into Penn's ribs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sandoval stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Penn on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Flavio Sandoval seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sandoval.
Sandoval is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Penn rather than just go for the knockout.
Sandoval fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Penn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Penn throws a lazy right hand but Sandoval sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sandoval.

Penn takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sandoval tries to land a front kick but Penn steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

The fighters circle momentarily. Sandoval darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Penn takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Penn on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Penn takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

and Sandoval counters with a right hand to the body.
Sandoval feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Penn's calf.

Sandoval lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Penn's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sandoval connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Penn scrambles back to his feet.
Sandoval scores with a jab to the jaw.
Sandoval tests Penn's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Penn is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Penn's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sandoval connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Penn scrambles back to his feet.
Penn drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
The crowd cheers as Penn lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sandoval doesn't seem phased though.
Penn sizes up Sandoval with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Sandoval scores with a hook.
Penn doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Penn stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sandoval.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Good exchange - Sandoval coming out on top.
Sandoval pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Penn back to the cage. Sandoval follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Penn is rocked!
A nice leg kick lands there from Sandoval.

Oh Penn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sandoval lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Penn falls backwards - clearly groggy! Sandoval dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Flavio Sandoval!
Flavio Sandoval very nearly forgot to thank CRAZY COW Co. 159 amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
