Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jason Fray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tekken Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Fray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tekken Slice!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fray swings for the body but Slice moves out of range.
Fray throws a hook to the side of Slice's head but Slice sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fray slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Fray listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Fray avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Slice shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fray sprawls well. Fray wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Slice gets slowly back to his feet.
A jab from Fray does it's job there.
Fray thuds a left hand into Slice's body.
Fray fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Slice looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Fray tries to bum rush Slice with a series of wild strikes but Slice uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Slice shoots in for a double leg but Fray sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Fray pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Slice fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jason Fray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tekken Slice.
Fray throws a series of punches but Slice avoids them all with ease.

Slice ducks under a wild hook from Fray.

Fray moves into range and clinches up with Slice.
Fray throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Slices head.

Fray breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Slice throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Slice fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Fray misses with a two punch combination.
Slice on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Fray is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Slice feints and as Fray raises his hands in defense, Slice changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Fray manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Slice manages to get himself to full guard.

Slice is looking for a triangle but Fray pushes his legs off easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slice wants to sweep but no luck.

Fray pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Slice is keeping the position for now.

Fray is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Slice is just riding it out for now. Fray eventually gives up the hold.

Fray wants to work for an arm triangle but Slice is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Slice is looking to control Fray's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Slice avoid being mounted?

Fray stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Fray lands with a nice combination. Slice backs away looking to recover.
Fray lands a jab-cross combination.
Fray thows a body shot but no joy.
Slice shoots in for a takedown but Fray shows good takedown defense.

Slice darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Slice prevents Fray from improving his position.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Slice wants to control but Fray is keeping him busy.
Fray knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Slice on the ground.

Slice is working for a submission of some sort.
Fray really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fray wants to sweep but Slice has passed to side control!
Fray is not content to let Slice control the position.
Fray tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Slice wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Slice trying to control the action but Fray is working from the bottom.

Slice tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Slice decides to stand up, so the ref orders Fray to his feet.
A cross from Fray lands.

Fray will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Slice throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fray's waist but Fray gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Slice off to one side.
Fray connects with a crisp jab.
Fray swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Slice dives in and grabs Fray's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fray pushes down on Slice's head and hops out.
Slice misses with a takedown attempt - Fray sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Slice tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Fray manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Slice takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Sloppy strikes from Fray. Those never looked like landing.
Slice shoots for a double leg takedown but Fray sprawls well. He's pushed Slice's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jason Fray is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fray throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Slice shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fray defends it nicely.
Slice misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Slice shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fray but Fray pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fray swings for the body but Slice moves out of range.
Fray lands with a good body shot.
A slow jab from Slice misses its intended target.
Fray throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Horrible takedown by Slice or perhaps it was just good defense by Fray which made him look bad.
Slice takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Fray connects with the punch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Slice counters with a three punch combo that has Fray backing up. Fray nods at Slice to acknowledge the strikes.

Fray lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Slice is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fray has escaped the position, nice work there.
Fray is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Slice asserts his dominance and retains side control.
