The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands with a nice body kick.
Silva tries to clinch
and Loveladdy counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Loveladdy misses with a wild body shot.
Loveladdy slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Loveladdy is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Loveladdy circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Silva shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Loveladdy defends it nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Loveladdy avoids it really well and circles away.

Matt Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Loveladdy thuds a left hand into Silva's body.
Loveladdy fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Silva out cold! Brutal finish!
