Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kranc Squirel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jordan Marshall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kranc Squirel!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Squirel misses with a double jab

and Marshall counters with a nice double leg into side control. Squirel won't be happy with that.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Marshall advances to mount.
Squirel avoids a series of strikes thrown by Marshall.
Marshall takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

You get the feeling that Squirel really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Marshall tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marshall seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Squirel for as long as he can get away with.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
