Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knox's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Exploited- Beat The Bastards. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Knox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mirko Liddell!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell shoots in for a double leg but Knox sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Liddell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Knox looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Knox wants to get back to his feet but Liddell drags him back down.
Liddell tries to move into full mount but can't pass Knox's legs.
Liddell is working to tighten is grip on Knox's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Knox has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Liddell is really squeezing tight and eventually Knox passes out! Liddell breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
