Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johny Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudy Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hendricks comes to the cage accompanied by $50 and a flask of crown. Rudy Owens is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rudy Owens!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendricks wants to clinch up but Owens keeps it at a distance.
Owens throws a nice looking combination but Hendricks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sloppy strikes from Owens. Those never looked like landing.
Hendricks wants to clinch.
Hendricks connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Owens takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
No joy there for Owens, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Owens throws the kick towards the body but Hendricks avoids it.
Owens shoots in but no luck this time.
Owens misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hendricks lands a big head kick that sends Owens tumbling to the mat! Hendricks takes a step backwards and waves Owens back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Owens is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hendricks fakes the body blow, causing Owens to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Owens goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Johny Hendricks!
