Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Quaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Alard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Douglas Quaid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aaron Alard!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quaid gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Alard counters with a three punch combo that has Quaid backing up. Quaid nods at Alard to acknowledge the strikes.

Alard throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Alard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Quaid keeps working.
Quaid is looking to escape.

Alard wants to work for an arm triangle but Quaid is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Quaid is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Alard has his foot on Quaid's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Quaid works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Let's hope that Alard has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Quaid dives in and grabs Alard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alard pushes down on Quaid's head and hops out.
Quaid tries to close the distance and clinch but Alard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Alard feints a jab promting Quaid to slip. Alard then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Quaid slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
