The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dodson has managed to clinch.
Howard breaks the clinch.
Howard leaves Dodson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Howard cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Dodson is trying desperately to improve position.

Dodson is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
