Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Augusto Soto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takehiko Takaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takaki has chosen Mahavishnu Orchestra - Meeting Of The Spirits as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Augusto Soto! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Takehiko Takaki! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takaki shoots in and drives through. Soto sprawls well. Soto will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Takaki wants to slow Soto down by chopping away at his legs. Soto scores with a jab to the body. Takaki takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Takaki has a takedown stuffed. Takaki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Soto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Soto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Takaki shoots for a double leg takedown but Soto sprawls well. He's pushed Takaki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Augusto Soto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takehiko Takaki. Soto connects with a solid leg kick. Takaki throws a half hearted mid kick. Soto lands a leg kick that knocks Takaki off balance momentarily. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Takaki.
That's one minute gone in the round. Soto lands a nice looking body kick. Soto chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A jab from Soto finds it's way through Takaki's defenses. Takehiko Takaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Soto scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Takaki throws a series of punches but Soto moves out of range. Takaki swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Takaki misses with a few strikes there.
Soto looks to land a body kick but Takaki moved away. Takaki throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Soto counters with a good, hard body kick but Takaki shrugs it off. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takaki throws a right hand that Soto ducks under and follows up with a left that Soto also avoids with ease. Takaki looks winded! Takaki misses with a left hand and Soto counters with a thumping low kick. Soto has Takaki up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Soto lands a shot to the body. A nice right hand lands inside from Soto. Soto lands a hook to the side of the head. A head punch blocked on the inside by Takaki. Soto lands a left hand that snaps the head of Takaki backwards. Takaki blocks a body shot from Soto. Takaki stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Takaki misses with some punches.

Soto lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Takaki or not. Takaki blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Takaki takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Soto is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Takaki is defending well for now. Soto tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Takaki scores with a shoulder strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soto misses with a hook to the ribs.
Soto scores with a hook to the body. Takaki prevents a body shot from Soto. Takaki is trying desperately to land a takedown but Soto is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Takaki. Takaki lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Takaki tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Soto misses with a hook to the ribs.

Takaki has had enough of the clinch but Soto keeps him there for the moment. Soto misses with a hook from the clinch. Takaki doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Still in the clinch, Takaki scores with a nice short uppercut. Takaki tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Takaki lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Soto. Still in the clinch, Soto scores with a nice short uppercut. Soto lands with a right to the head. Soto fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Takaki prevents a body shot from Soto. A head punch blocked on the inside by Soto. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Soto scores with an uppercut up the middle. Takaki can't find room to land a body shot as Soto controls the action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Augusto Soto dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Soto lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Takaki falls backwards - clearly groggy! Soto dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Augusto Soto! Augusto Soto retains his middleweight title! A very excited looking Augusto Soto made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
