The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
East has taken the fight to the clinch.
East breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Maerkaenen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
so East counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Maerkaenen looking to hit a scissor sweep but East is one step ahead there.
Maerkaenen working for submissions but it's allowed East to get to half guard.
East slows the pace down in half guard.
Maerkaenen is in trouble now - East has advanced to mount!
