Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenneth Quill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Frank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kenneth Quill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Frank!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quill shoots for a takedown but Frank saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Quill tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Frank swivels and escapes.

Frank tries to keep at a distance but Quill has taken the fight into the clinch.
Quill wants to break free but Frank has control.
Frank connects with a nasty looking knee right to Quill's face.
Frank throws a knee to the head but misses.
Frank creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Quill's defenses.
Quill can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenneth Quill. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Quill stalling in the clinch.
Frank tries to break the clinch but Quill is controlling the position.
Frank looking to throw knees to the head but Quill is blocking nicely.
Quill content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Frank breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Quill moves into range and clinches up with Frank.
Frank has had enough of the clinch but Quill keeps him there for the moment.

Frank pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Frank tries to close the distance and clinch up but Quill swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Frank scores with a head kick. Quill tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Quill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Frank sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Quill somewhat.
Frank wants to clinch but Quill slips to the side

and Quill counters by moving into the clinch.
Quill prevents Frank from breaking the clinch.
Quill is trying to pull guard but Frank has him pressed against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Frank wants to break the clinch but can't.

Frank breaks from the clinch.
Frank throws a head kick but Quill moves out of range.
Frank throws a nice head kick!
Frank looks winded!
Frank closes the distance but Quill moves to the side

and Quill counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Quill.

Quill breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Frank is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Quill scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Frank misses with a series of wild punches.
Frank slaps away a takedown attempt from Quill, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jason Frank is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Frank drives through and clinches with Quill against the cage.
Frank tries to circle away but Quill has him pinned against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Quill.

Quill drags the fight down to the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Frank wants to stand but Quill has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Quill throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Horrible takedown by Quill or perhaps it was just good defense by Frank which made him look bad.
Frank pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Quill drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Frank is letting Quill control him for a moment.
Quill misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Quill misses with the ground and pound.
Quill is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Frank is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Quill has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quill looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Quill staying calm.
Quill works to advance to full mount. Frank defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Quill tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Quill throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Quill looking to ground and pound but Frank is blocking nicely.
Quill thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
You get the feeling that Frank really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Quill content just to control the position here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quill fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Frank avoids it really well and circles away.

Frank doesn't manage to clinch there - Quill circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Frank closes the distance and clinches.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jason Frank was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Quill fails with the takedown.

Quill drives through and clinches with Frank against the cage.

Quill is trying to push Frank away but Frank has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Jason Frank seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
A frustrated look appears on Frank's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Frank is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Quill is defending well for now.

Quill jumps into guard, dragging Frank to the mat.

Frank stuffs the takedown attempt from Quill. Quill gets slowly back to his feet.

Jason Frank comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Frank has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
