The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayon throws a combination. Rouge tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Rouge leaves Hayon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rouge throws a nice looking combination but Hayon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Rigels Rouge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hayon looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Hayon shoots in looking for a takedown. Rouge tries to sprawl out of it but Hayon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rouge manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rouge looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Hayon shoots in but no luck this time.

and Hayon counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rouge's knee momentarily.

Rigels Rouge is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hayon walks into a stiff left hand from Rouge.
Sloppy strikes from Hayon. Those never looked like landing.

Hayon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rouge is fending him off so far but Hayon persists. Nope, Rouge circles away and we're back to standing.
Rouge misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Rouge throws a series of punches but Hayon avoids them all with ease.
Rouge keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rouge keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
No luck for Hayon with that takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rouge works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Rouge lands a glancing blow to the side of Hayon's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hayon tries to close the distance and clinch but Rouge swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rouge feints a jab promting Hayon to slip. Rouge then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hayon slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Rigels Rouge is winning the standup battle so far.
Hayon tries to clinch up but Rouge circles away and keeps his distance.
Rouge misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hayon gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rouge.
Rouge connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A left and a right from Rouge both land. Nice combination.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hayon moves in looking to clinch but Rouge pushes him off.
Rouge throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Rouge tries to bum rush Hayon with a series of wild strikes but Hayon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hayon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rouge's waist but Rouge gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hayon off to one side.
Rouge swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hayon shoots in for a double leg but Rouge sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hayon tries to pull guard but Rouge forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Hayon has closed the distance and engaged Rouge in a clinch.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hayon moves nicely into side control.
Hayon passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Rouge!
Rigels Rouge is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dor Hayon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Rouge knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hayon on the ground.
Rouge is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Hayon has taken his back!

I think Rouge has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
