Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Nevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaito Saruwatari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nevsky comes to the cage accompanied by Not Afraid - Eminem. Saruwatari has chosen Andrea Bocelli - Time To Say Goodbye as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Nevsky! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaito Saruwatari! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saruwatari lands with a thumping leg kick.
Nevsky doesn't manage to clinch there - Saruwatari circles away.
A jab from Nevsky misses. Saruwatari scores with a decent looking hook. Good leg kick by Saruwatari there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Nevsky shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Saruwatari as he jumps to the side. Saruwatari avoids the body shot from Nevsky.
Nevsky looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Saruwatari is fending him off so far but Nevsky persists. Nope, Saruwatari circles away and we're back to standing. Saruwatari moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Saruwatari fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Nevsky. Nevsky slips a straight right by Saruwatari. Nevsky dives in and scores a takedown into Saruwatari's guard. Nevsky is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Saruwatari is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Saruwatari is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nevsky throws a big right hand that misses. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Saruwatari is on top in guard.
Saruwatari prevents Nevsky from getting back to his feet. Nevsky wants to sweep here but Saruwatari controlling him for the moment. Saruwatari stands and steps away. Nevsky gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Saruwatari rushes Nevsky and presses him up against the cage. Saruwatari goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nevsky closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Saruwatari's guard. Saruwatari working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Nevsky. Saruwatari controls Nevsky momentarily but Nevsky frees himself. Nevsky missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Nevsky is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nevsky has a closed guard, preventing Saruwatari from standing up. That's four minutes gone in the round. Saruwatari is looking to stand up but Nevsky won't let him. Nevsky working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Saruwatari doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Saruwatari manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Nevsky has his foot on Saruwatari's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Saruwatari works his way back into a safe position though. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Saruwatari circles away from the clinch attempt and Saruwatari counters by moving into the clinch. Saruwatari pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Nevsky dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Saruwatari wants to control but Nevsky is keeping busy and won't allow it. Saruwatari might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nevsky haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Saruwatari is still in real trouble! Can Nevsky finish him? Nevsky thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Saruwatari's head. Saruwatari seems to have recovered his senses. Nevsky is looking to advance position but Saruwatari won't allow it. Saruwatari wants to get back to full guard. Nevsky not landing any meaningful shots this time.
