Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sozu Arghei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Alves struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Nick Alves acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sozu Arghei! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Alves! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arghei scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Arghei misses with a few strikes there.
Arghei really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Arghei scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Alves fails miserably with a takedown attempt. No joy there for Arghei, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Alves fails to land the takedown. A bone on bone clash there as Alves blocks the leg kick.
Alves shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Arghei as he jumps to the side. Sozu Arghei has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Alves. Alves changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Arghei tries to avoid it but Alves manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Arghei to the ground. Arghei escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Arghei tries to land a front kick but Alves steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Arghei lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alves takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arghei throws the kick towards the body but Alves avoids it. Arghei wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Alves is trying hard to land a takedown here. Arghei sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Arghei scores with a crisp jab that stopped Alves in his tracks. Arghei throws an overhand right that drops Alves like a sack of potatoes! Arghei dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sozu Arghei! Sozu Arghei decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
