Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Justin Sallas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Cristobal Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Cristobal Diaz has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Justin Sallas's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Sallas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Cristobal Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Diaz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sallas regains full guard. Nicely done.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Diaz connects with a nice short shot to Sallas's temple.

Sallas is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Diaz has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sallas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diaz tries to avoid it but Sallas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diaz to the ground. Diaz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diaz is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Sallas is defending against the submission attempts here by Diaz.

Nick Cristobal Diaz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Diaz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
