And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Sigurdsson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mir closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sigurdsson did well to prevent Mir getting side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Mir is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mir is looking for a kimura but Sigurdsson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mir to get the leverage.
Mir is looking to advance position but Sigurdsson won't allow it.
Mir stops Sigurdsson from getting back to his feet.

Mir wants to work for an arm triangle but Sigurdsson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sigurdsson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Mir passes to full mount!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mir wants to finish this one by submission but Sigurdsson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mir.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sigurdsson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sigurdsson has left one of his arms exposed and Mir doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Sigurdsson screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
