Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bern Ancheta!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ancheta rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Roxas moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ancheta throws a right hand that Roxas ducks under and follows up with a left that Roxas also avoids with ease.
Ancheta throws a sloppy head kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Roxas cracks a nice hook into Ancheta's ribs.
Ancheta looks winded!
Roxas throws a head kick but Ancheta moves out of range.
Roxas misses the shot to the body.
Ancheta throws a head kick that misses
and Roxas makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Roxas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bern Ancheta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Roxas throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Bern Ancheta has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Roxas counters with a body kick.
Roxas looks to land a combination. Ancheta sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Roxas throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Ancheta is rocked!
Roxas circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Ancheta drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Roxas follows Ancheta to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Jejomar Roxas started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
