Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Andersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pure Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pure Blood is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Andersen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pure Blood!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andersen throws a series of punches but Blood avoids them all with ease.
Blood slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Andersen throws a head kick but Blood moves out of range.
Andersen avoids a punch combination nicely.

Andersen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Andersen is breathing heavily.
Blood pulls Andersen in to control the position.
Blood looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Blood wants to sweep but no luck.
Blood wants to stand up but Andersen is controlling him.
Andersen pushes down on Blood's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blood is positioning himself well to prevent Andersen advancing to mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Blood preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Blood should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Despite being in the dominant position, Pure Blood just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Andersen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Blood looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Andersen decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Andersen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Blood looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Blood stalling.
Blood's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Andersen is trying to stand.

Andersen wants to improve his position but Blood is controlling well.
Andersen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Andersen on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Let's hope that Blood has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Andersen doesn't manage to clinch there - Blood circles away.
Andersen throws a sloppy head kick and Blood moves out of range easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Andersen.

Blood shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Blood controlling the pace for now.

Blood closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Andersen wants to get back to his feet.
Blood takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Andersen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Blood keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Blood is controlling Andersen's trapped leg to prevent Andersen from advancing to side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Blood makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Blood.
Pure Blood has got the better of the ground game so far.
Blood has Andersen pulled in close to control his posture.
Blood lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Andersen!

Pure Blood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blood must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Andersen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Blood controls the pace.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pure Blood comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Blood has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
