The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mic looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mic throws out a loose jab but Africanus uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mic throws a jab when Africanus was well out of range.
Africanus jabs Mic to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Africanus takes one on the button.
Africanus throws a solid leg kick but Mic takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Africanus.
Africanus misses the shot to the body.
Africanus showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mic.
Africanus misses with a body shot.
Africanus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mic manages to avoid it.
Mic looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Africanus jabs Mic to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Mic is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Africanus bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mic's head.
It looks like Ken Mic has been cut.
Africanus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mic sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Africanus somewhat.
Africanus throws a jab but it's blocked by Mic.

Mic throws a series of punches but Africanus moves out of range.
Africanus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mic parries the strikes from Africanus easily there. Africanus is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mic to escape.
Mic defending against the ground and pound.
Africanus scores with a couple of short elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Africanus grinds an elbow into Mic's temple.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mic dodges the ground and pound from Africanus.
Africanus is putting a hurting on Mic here, landing some big shots from side control.
Africanus postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Mic managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Africanus.
Africanus landing a few strikes.
Africanus looks up at the clock and then as Mic takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Africanus smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Africanus throws a strike aimed at the side of Mic's head but Mic avoids it well.

Africanus lands a decent elbow from side control.
Africanus fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Mic takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mic avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Africanus.
Africanus creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mic sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Africanus has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Mic!
Africanus connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Africanus looking to finish Mic with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mic!
Africanus loads up with a big shot that hurts Mic! He's pulled Africanus in close but Africanus has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Mic survive? More strikes from Africanus and Mic is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
