Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Krzysztof Jarzyna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Chabala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jarzyna might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Prodigy - Omen. Matt Chabala has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Krzysztof Jarzyna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Chabala!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chabala lands with a straight right. Jarzyna didn't see that one coming.
Jarzyna defending well as Chabala loads up on a big left hand.
Jarzyna takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Jarzyna avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Chabala throws a big shot that misses.
Chabala shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jarzyna defends it nicely.
Jarzyna lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Chabala fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jarzyna to the ground. Chabala is now in Jarzyna's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Chabala works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Chabala looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Chabala content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Jarzyna is trying is best to control the position here.
Jarzyna is looking for a sweep. Chabala is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Chabala in particular looking to stall.
Jarzyna tries to roll over but Chabala keeps him under control.
Chabala wants to pass to mount but Jarzyna is defending the position.
Chabala is keen to just control but Jarzyna is a slippery customer.

Chabala is nestled in close to Jarzyna, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Jarzyna is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Chabala thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jarzyna's head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chabala connects with a nice short shot to Jarzyna's temple.

Jarzyna is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jarzyna flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Chabala looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Chabala moves into full mount! Jarzyna won't be happy about that!
Jarzyna is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Chabala landing strikes, looking to finish!
Jarzyna on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jarzyna tries to get out of the position.
Jarzyna is wriggling around trying to escape.
Chabala scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Jarzyna?

Jarzyna sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Jarzyna tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Chabala has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chabala pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Chabala landing strikes from the mount and Jarzyna is in trouble!
Jarzyna is in a horrible position here. Chabala smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Jarzyna is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
BOOM! Chabala connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Oh Jarzyna is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chabala lands a big elbow - Jarzyna is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Jarzyna is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Matt Chabala!
