Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Domingo Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michel Rodalgo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodalgo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ace of Spades - By Motorhead. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Domingo Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michel Rodalgo!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodalgo lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Perez throws a leg kick but Rodalgo moved away.
Rodalgo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rodalgo lands a nice hook to Perez's body. Perez takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Perez throws a combination. Rodalgo tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Perez walks into a jab.
Perez loads up on a big right hand but Rodalgo slips the punch.
Jab, jab by Perez - just one landing.
Perez misses the shot to the body.
Perez does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Perez throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Perez moves into the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Perez misses with an attempted mid kick.
Perez defending well as Rodalgo loads up on a big left hand.
Perez tries to bum rush Rodalgo with a series of wild strikes but Rodalgo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Perez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rodalgo tries to avoid it but Perez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rodalgo to the ground. Rodalgo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Perez fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Rodalgo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Rodalgo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Perez pivots, looking for a leg kick but Rodalgo is out of range and Perez settles back down.
Rodalgo moves out of range of the body kick.
Domingo Perez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Perez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rodalgo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Perez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rodalgo lands a couple of digs.
Rodalgo working some strikes from top position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rodalgo wants to control from the top but Perez keeps moving.

Rodalgo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Rodalgo tries to free his leg and advance position but Perez is retaining full guard.
Perez looking for a sweep. Not yet Perez, not yet.
Rodalgo forces his way into half guard.
Perez gets back to full guard.
Perez trying to keep a closed guard but Rodalgo is proving a slippery customer.
Perez lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rodalgo!

Perez throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Perez is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rodalgo has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rodalgo!
Perez wants to sweep here but Rodalgo controlling him for the moment.

A close round but Michel Rodalgo will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Perez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rodalgo was well out of range. Poor timing from Perez.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Perez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Perez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rodalgo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rodalgo has escaped and now he's on top!

Rodalgo throws a strike but Perez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Perez is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rodalgo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

We're going to have a standup here because Domingo Perez wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Rodalgo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Perez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Rodalgo takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Perez shoots for a takedown but Rodalgo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Perez connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Perez misses with a hook. Rodalgo ducked under it nicely.
Rodalgo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Perez manages to avoid it.
Perez shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rodalgo eats them both and turns towards Perez to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Rodalgo moves away from the strike by Perez.
Rodalgo takes a swing at Perez's ribcage but misses.

Rodalgo drives through and clinches with Perez against the cage.
Rodalgo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Perez's efforts to push away.

Rodalgo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rodalgo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

A close second round but Michel Rodalgo will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Rodalgo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Rodalgo closes the distance and clinches up with Perez, looking for a takedown. Rodalgo pushes Perez against the cage but Perez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Perez misses the shot to the body.
Rodalgo drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Perez lands a really nice looking cross but Rodalgo seems unphased.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Rodalgo throws a hook but Perez avoids it easily.

Rodalgo closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Rodalgo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Michel Rodalgo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Perez throws a low kick, looking for Rodalgo's leg but Rodalgo calmly moves out of range.

Rodalgo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Perez keeps working.

Domingo Perez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Rodalgo is looking to take a break and control but Perez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rodalgo content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Michel Rodalgo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Perez thuds a left hand into Rodalgo's body.

Perez dips to his left and cracks Rodalgo with an uppercut!
Perez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rodalgo cracks Perez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rodalgo wants to take a breather but Perez is having none of it.

Michel Rodalgo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Rodalgo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
