Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mathek Krol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phillip McClelland!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McClelland swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McClelland looks to land a combination but Krol avoids it well.
A jab-cross combination lands for McClelland and sends Krol crashing to the mat! McClelland follows him down to the mat - Krol regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
It looks like Mathek Krol has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Krol actively working from the bottom here.
Krol looking for subs from the bottom but McClelland mounts him!
Krol tries to get back to half guard but can't.
McClelland is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
That's one minute gone in the round.
No luck for Krol with that takedown attempt.
Krol really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Krol is breathing heavily.
McClelland clinches with his opponent.
McClelland's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Krol has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McClelland finds it's way round the side to connect with Krol's head.
McClelland rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Krol moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McClelland lands with a hook. Krol tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
McClelland lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Krol can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from McClelland and Krol drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by McClelland.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phillip McClelland!
