Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huard Slavokavich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huard Slavokavich will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Slavokavich - just one landing.
Slavokavich misses with a few strikes there.
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown but Slavokavich manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jackson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jackson shoots in but Slavokavich avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Slavokavich moves out of range as Jackson strikes.

Slavokavich displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jackson.

Jackson tries for a takedown but Slavokavich sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Slavokavich throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jackson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Slavokavich was covering up waiting for the punch and Jackson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Jackson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Slavokavich's head.

Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slavokavich swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Slavokavich is trying to stand back up but Jackson is controlling him

Jackson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Slavokavich is just riding it out for now. Jackson eventually gives up the hold.
Slavokavich is staying active underneath Jackson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Jackson working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Slavokavich looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Jackson! Submission of the night perhaps?
