Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franco Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Masters closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Williams's guard.
Williams is trying to control the position but Masters postures up.
Masters might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Williams wants to stand and escape but Masters is having none of it.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Williams holds on and takes a little breather.

Williams is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Masters is aware though and is defending well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Mikey Masters overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Williams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mikey Masters wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Masters fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Williams to the ground. Masters is now in Williams's guard.

Masters stands and steps away. Williams gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Masters changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Williams looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
