Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nick Cristobal Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dave Williams told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Cristobal Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Williams! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
It looks like Nick Cristobal Diaz has been cut. Diaz fails to land the takedown. Williams slips under a jab from Diaz. Williams tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Diaz was well out of range. Poor timing from Williams. Diaz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Williams finds it's way round the side to connect with Diaz's head. Diaz closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Williams did well to prevent Diaz getting side control. Williams trying to hold on to Diaz's head to control him but Diaz postures up.
Diaz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Williams wants to get back to full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Diaz is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Diaz prevents Williams from improving his position. Diaz wants to pass to mount but Williams is defending the position. Diaz throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Williams trying to get back to full guard but Diaz takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Diaz with a couple of short strikes. Diaz is landing with some decent strikes but Williams is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Williams is in all sorts of trouble here.
Diaz lands a big elbow. Williams tries to reverse the position but Diaz maintains control. Williams is bucking up trying to escape but Diaz cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Diaz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz looking to control and managing it successfully. Williams tries to hold on but Diaz postures up. Diaz landing strikes from the mount. Diaz looking to ground and pound but Williams is blocking nicely. Diaz prevents Williams from getting the reversal. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Diaz looking to control but Williams is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Diaz working Williams over with strikes here. Williams is desperately trying to improve his position but Diaz has a good base and remains in mount. Diaz lands a heavy elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Diaz cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Williams is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Diaz controlling the position easily from mount. Diaz is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Williams can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Williams tries to reverse the position but Diaz maintains control. Diaz looking to control but Williams is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Diaz working for a guillotine from mount but Williams is in no mood to give up. Williams can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Williams tries to hold on but Diaz pushes him away. Diaz trying to control but Williams is having none of it. Williams is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Diaz lands with some strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Williams tries to reverse the position but Diaz maintains control. Diaz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Diaz pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Williams in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A telegraphed right hand from Diaz misses the target. Diaz is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Williams's half guard. Williams taking shots to the head. Nick Cristobal Diaz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Diaz lands a big elbow. Diaz controlling his opponent. This has been an exciting period of action! Williams wants to hold on but Diaz pushes him away. Williams might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Diaz kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Diaz looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Diaz is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Williams to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Williams shrugs it off. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz prevents Williams from getting the reversal. Diaz avoids the attempt from Williams to control. Diaz connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Diaz throws the kick towards the body but Williams avoids it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Diaz. Diaz will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Diaz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Williams tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Diaz was well out of range. Poor timing from Williams. Diaz throws a front kick aimed at Williams's knee but Williams avoids it well. Diaz looking to score a takedown here. Williams is defending well but Diaz drives through and ends up in Williams's guard. Williams seems keen to control Diaz's posture. Diaz throws a big right hand that misses. Diaz trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. Williams looking to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Williams leaves Diaz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Cristobal Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Diaz misses with a series of wild punches.

Nick Cristobal Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Williams misses. Diaz shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Diaz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Diaz missing with a left hand there. Williams was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Williams digs a good body shot into Diaz's ribs. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Diaz walks into a stiff left hand from Williams. Williams connects with a single shot there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Diaz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Williams gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Diaz to score an easy takedown into full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Williams not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Williams is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Diaz wants to improve his position but Williams is controlling well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Williams works his way into full mount! Diaz takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight! Dave Williams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Diaz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
