Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rod The Bod! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elroy Jetson! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jetson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The Bod tries to buck Jetson off but Jetson is having none of it. Jetson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused The Bod some visible discomfort.
Jetson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, The Bod has escaped the position, nice work there. Jetson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The Bod is looking to regain half guard here but Jetson keeps moving and retains side control. Jetson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. The Bod knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The Bod is looking for a sweep. The Bod can't do much from the bottom here. Jetson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. The Bod can't do much from the bottom here. The Bod sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The Bod tries to get to full guard but Jetson has control of the leg. The Bod works his way to full guard. Good work. Jetson slips nicely into half guard. The Bod is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jetson pulls his head out easily. Jetson wants to work for an arm triangle but The Bod is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Bod gets full guard. The Bod looking for a sweep. Not yet The Bod, not yet. The Bod manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The Bod moves to take his opponent's back. Jetson rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Jetson works his way to full guard. Good work. Jetson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Jetson looking for a triangle here. The Bod is fighting it but it looks tight! Jetson pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, The Bod is tapping out - this one is all over!
