Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jemini Houser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jemini Houser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carl Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houser tries for a takedown but Johnson circles away easily
and Johnson counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Johnson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Johnson wants it to stay on the feet.
Houser avoids the head kick by Johnson.

Johnson takes the fight into the clinch.
Houser avoiding damage as Johnson throws knees to the body.
Houser is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Houser is trying to break the clinch but Johnson has him pressed against the cage.

Johnson has picked Houser up - he's going for a ride! Johnson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Johnson scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Houser keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Houser is looking to improve his position.
Houser controlling the position for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson tries to pass to full mount but Houser defends it.
Johnson content to control rather than advance.
Houser gets full guard.
Houser pulls Johnson in close to his closed guard and prevents Johnson from doing any damage or advancing position.
Johnson prevents Houser from getting back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Houser will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Johnson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Houser, up you get!
Houser doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.

Johnson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Houser to the mat! Houser manages to get full guard.
Houser can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Johnson controls the pace.

Houser working for a triangle but Johnson defends it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Johnson stops Houser from standing up.
Houser is breathing heavily.

Houser is trying to control the position but Johnson postures up.

Johnson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Houser is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Johnson, into his guard.
Johnson has control of Houser's left arm, preventing Houser from doing any damage.
Houser preventing the sweep.
Houser wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Johnson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Houser!
Houser is letting Johnson control him for a moment.

Johnson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Houser shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carl Johnson dominated that round.
That's time! Houser's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt
and Johnson counters with a stiff right hand.
Houser shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Houser as he jumps to the side.
Houser tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Houser shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Johnson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Johnson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Houser wants to control but Johnson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Johnson performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Carl Johnson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Houser misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Houser stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Houser wants it to stay on the feet.

Johnson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Houser is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Houser controls Johnson momentarily but Johnson frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Houser is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnson is controlling him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Johnson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Houser's head.
Johnson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Houser works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Houser manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Houser. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Houser controlling the pace for now.
Johnson is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Houser really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Johnson is squirming around, avoiding Houser's attempts to control the action.

Houser jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Johnson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Johnson and Houser has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Johnson tries to bench press Houser off him but Houser keeps the position.
Houser tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Johnson is not content to let Houser control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Johnson has one of Houser's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carl Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Houser.

Johnson shoots in and bounces Houser off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

and Johnson counters with a single leg into guard. Houser didn't expect that.

Houser tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Johnson easily slips into full mount!
Johnson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Houser is wriggling around trying to escape.
Houser wants to hold on but Johnson pushes him away.
Houser wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Johnson lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Houser looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Johnson lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Johnson.

Johnson doesn't have the hooks in and Houser manages to turn into his guard.
Houser wants to get up but he can't break Johnson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

And that's the end of the fight!
Carl Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
