Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rockem Sockem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Blunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Rockem Sockem has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rockem Sockem!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Erik Blunt!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sockem punishes Blunt's body with a nice straight punch.
Sockem gets caught flat footed, as Blunt shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Blunt sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sockem's guard.
Blunt stalling.
Blunt gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Sockem throws a series of punches but Blunt avoids them all with ease.
Sockem gets caught flat footed, as Blunt shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Blunt stands and steps away. Sockem gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Blunt shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sockem napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Blunt working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Sockem tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Blunt wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Sockem stops Blunt from passing to mount.
Blunt is trying to get an arm triangle but Sockem is defending well.

Blunt decides to stand back up. Blunt steps back and let's Sockem get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blunt moves in looking to clinch but Sockem pushes him off.
Good exchange - Sockem coming out on top.
Blunt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sockem paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sockem looks to land a right hand but Blunt moved out of range.
Donk. Sockem catches Blunt right on the button with a cross.
Blunt drives through with a takedown into Sockem's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Blunt is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Blunt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sockem swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Erik Blunt wasn't active enough on the ground.
Blunt avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sockem throws a big shot that misses.
Sockem doesn't manage to clinch there - Blunt circles away.
Sockem looks to throw the jab but Blunt is out of range.
Blunt wants to clinch.
Blunt keeps the fight on the outside.
Blunt shoots in and bounces Sockem off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Blunt pushes down on Sockem's leg and manages to get into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Blunt decides to stand and escape the position.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Blunt closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Sockem might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Sockem throws out a loose jab but Blunt uses good head movement to avoid it.
Blunt throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sockem.
Sockem lands with an overhand left.
Sockem throws the left hand but Blunt avoids the punch easily.
Blunt swings for the body but Sockem moves out of range.
Sockem throws a shot from downtown. Blunt moves away and avoids it.
Blunt drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Blunt slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Blunt stands and throws Sockem's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Blunt is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sockem is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Blunt connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sockem some visible discomfort.
Blunt stands up and beckons Sockem to his feet.

Sockem wants to control his opponent's hands but Blunt gets his hands free.

Erik Blunt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Blunt takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Sockem fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blunt is on top in guard.
Blunt postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Blunt passes Sockem's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Blunt feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sockem bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Blunt's head backwards.
Sockem scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Blunt uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sockem.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Blunt closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Blunt lands in his opponent's guard.

Erik Blunt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Blunt winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
