1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tmothy Aztec! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Borisov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Aztec closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Borisov manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Borisov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aztec can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Borisov throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Borisov shoots in for a takedown but Aztec shows good takedown defense. Aztec rushes Borisov and presses him up against the cage. Borisov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Aztec pulls him back up using the underhooks. Borisov has Aztec pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Aztec manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nikolay Borisov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Borisov wants a takedown but no success here.
Aztec looking for a takedown. Aztec is fighting off a takedown attempt but Borisov is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Aztec to the mat. Aztec regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Borisov looking to sit in guard and control but Aztec gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Borisov is looking to sinch up a triangle. Aztec throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Borisov's body to avoid the submission. Borisov has instead reached around Aztec's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Borisov arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
