Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kyle Babcock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mihail Murumov!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Babcock looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Babcock engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Murumov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Babcock regains full guard. Nicely done.

Babcock is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Murumov is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Murumov wants to control from the top but Babcock keeps moving.

Babcock working for a triangle but Murumov defends it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Murumov trying to control the position from guard on top but Babcock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Murumov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Babcock is keeping the position for now.

Babcock is looking for a triangle but Murumov pushes his legs off easily.

Babcock has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Murumov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Babcock pulls Murumov in close to prevent any damage.

Murumov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Babcock has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Murumov has managed to get both his arms back between Babcock's legs - danger averted.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Murumov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Babcock swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Babcock working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Murumov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Babcock is tightening it up a little... Murumov has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Murumov reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Murumov taps out! Nice BJJ there by Babcock!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Kyle Babcock!
