Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Larry McLarry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Larry McLarry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bruce Banner!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLarry defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Banner.
Banner dives in and grabs McLarry's left leg, looking for a takedown. McLarry pushes down on Banner's head and hops out.

McLarry shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McLarry showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Banner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

McLarry is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Banner is just riding it out for now. McLarry eventually gives up the hold.
McLarry uses his free foot to push down on Banner's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Banner.
McLarry controlling the pace for now.

McLarry looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
McLarry content just to control the position here.
McLarry pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Banner is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

McLarry's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Banner tries to escape but McLarry has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Banner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McLarry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Banner shoots in looking for a takedown but McLarry manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Banner's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

McLarry closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

McLarry has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Banner off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

McLarry keeping moving, preventing Banner from controlling successfully.
McLarry manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McLarry takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Banner wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by McLarry.

Banner is squirming around, avoiding McLarry's attempts to control the action.
McLarry manages to capitalize on a mistake by Banner to take his back!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Larry McLarry.
Banner tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McLarry swivels and escapes.
Banner moves to clinch but McLarry breaks away

and McLarry counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McLarry.

Banner wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

McLarry pulls Banner into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Banner trying to control the position from guard on top but McLarry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Banner might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control McLarry kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Banner wants to stand but McLarry has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Banner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McLarry is keeping the position for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

McLarry is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Banner defends well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



McLarry feints and as Banner raises his hands in defense, McLarry changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Banner wants to sweep here but McLarry controlling him for the moment.
McLarry seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
McLarry pushes down on Banner's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Banner is in trouble now - McLarry has advanced to mount!

McLarry sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Banner tries to reverse the position but McLarry maintains control.
Banner tries to control McLarry's body but McLarry pushes him off. Banner squirms to his side and now McLarry has his back!

McLarry has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Banner has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
