Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Artorius Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicholas J Mcgarry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nicholas J Mcgarry is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Artorius Edwards! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nicholas J Mcgarry! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcgarry fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Edwards misses with a few strikes there.
Edwards tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mcgarry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Edwards has his takedown stuffed and Mcgarry counters with a shoot takedown. Edwards fights it but they end up in guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Mcgarry stands and throws Edwards's legs to the side, diving into side control. Mcgarry decides to stand back up. Mcgarry steps back and let's Edwards get back to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mcgarry closes this distance looking for a takedown but Edwards circles away. Left hook, right uppercut from Edwards. Edwards closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mcgarry circles away. Edwards will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mcgarry feints and as Edwards raises his hands in defense, Mcgarry changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mcgarry drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Edwards dives on top into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcgarry trying to control the position.
Edwards has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mcgarry is proving hard to escape from. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcgarry keeping moving, preventing Edwards from controlling successfully. Mcgarry has his foot on Edwards's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Edwards works his way back into a safe position though. Edwards wants to control from the top but Mcgarry keeps moving. Edwards is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mcgarry is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
We're going to have a standup here because Artorius Edwards wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Edwards tries for a takedown but Mcgarry sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Artorius Edwards. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mcgarry throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Edwards tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mcgarry is in Edwards's guard. Mcgarry drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Edwards manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mcgarry has Edwards in his guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mcgarry keeping moving, preventing Edwards from controlling successfully. Mcgarry is looking for a triangle but Edwards pushes his legs off easily.

Nice work from Edwards! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mcgarry tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mcgarry looks for a takedown but Edwards sprawls well. Edwards fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Mcgarry shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Edwards but Edwards pushes him off and we're back to square one. Edwards tries for a takedown but Mcgarry circles away easily and Mcgarry counters with a takedown into side control. Edwards wants to get back to his feet. Mcgarry thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Mcgarry is looking for a kimura. He might have it! Edwards is pushing Mcgarry's head away, looking to escape. Mcgarry manages to hold on to the position though. Mcgarry tries for a kimura but Edwards is defending well. He's almost out here... but no, Mcgarry gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Mcgarry looking to hit a scissor sweep but Edwards is one step ahead there. Edwards is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mcgarry tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nicholas J Mcgarry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Edwards slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mcgarry's guard. Mcgarry manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Mcgarry throws his legs up looking for a submission but Edwards uses it to pass to side control.

Mcgarry is trying to get back to half guard. Edwards wants to stand but Mcgarry has his arm trapped. Mcgarry tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Edwards wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Mcgarry is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edwards tries to advance to mount but Mcgarry denies him. Mcgarry sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Mcgarry is trying to get back to full guard. Mcgarry is staying active underneath Edwards, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mcgarry looking for a kimura from the bottom but Edwards passes into side control! Edwards is looking to take a break and control but Mcgarry is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Edwards working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Edwards gets to mount! Mcgarry was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Mcgarry working to try and regain half guard.
Artorius Edwards has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Edwards sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
