Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Vaughn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vaughn comes to the cage accompanied by Wild Thing. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Anthony Rogers was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anthony Rogers! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vaughn throws a jab when Rogers was well out of range. Vaughn throws a poor cross that misses
and Rogers counters with a nice double leg into side control. Vaughn won't be happy with that. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Vaughn manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rogers's best efforts. Rogers is controlling the pace.
Rogers is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rogers takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Rogers prevents Vaughn from standing back up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Vaughn tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rogers avoids it. That was a close round but I would say that Rick Vaughn will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Rogers takes one on the chin but seems OK.
