Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chris Redfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Grapist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grapist has chosen Know Your Enemy by Rage Against the Machine as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Redfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jerry Grapist!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grapist gets caught napping as Redfield dives in and scores a takedown. Grapist manages to retain guard.
Redfield really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Redfield stands up from Grapist's guard - Redfield perhaps looking for a knockout.
Grapist fails with a takedown attempt.
Grapist looks winded!
A looping hook to the body misses from Redfield. Grapist does a little dance to reset his feet.

Redfield takes the fight into the clinch.
Grapist is trying to break free.
Grapist is looking to break free of the clinch but Redfield has double underhooks.
A right hook to the body lands for Redfield.

Redfield drags the fight down to the ground.
Grapist is fighting to break Redfield's control of his arms but Redfield is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Redfield manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Redfield is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Grapist sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Redfield's guard.
Redfield is looking for a sweep. Grapist is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Redfield holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Redfield's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Chris Redfield just wasn't active enough.
Grapist shoots in but no luck this time.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Redfield changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Grapist looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Redfield wants to clinch up but Grapist keeps it at a distance.

Redfield clobbers Grapist with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Grapist drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Redfield gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Redfield seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Despite having Grapist's back, Redfield says stuff this ground business - let's go for a knockout! Grapist seems baffled but is happy to be out of the difficult position!

Redfield gets control of Grapist's arms and successfully pulls guard. Redfield will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Redfield seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Redfield looking to hit a scissor sweep but Grapist is one step ahead there.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Grapist enables Redfield to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Grapist manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Redfield bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Grapist's guard.

Chris Redfield is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
