Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tirawit Kokin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
25 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kublai Congo!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kokin tries to clinch but Congo is having none of it.
Congo loads up on a big right hand but Kokin slips the punch.
Congo manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kokin on his heels. He'll look to pass Kokin's guard now, I'm sure.
Kokin wants to stand but Congo is controlling the position.
Congo drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Congo seems to have locked his on tight now - Kokin screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Congo, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Kublai Congo!
