Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cory Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominoe Knocks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel comes to the cage accompanied by Immortal Technique-Point of no return. Knocks comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ultimate beatdown - into pieces kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cory Steel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Dominoe Knocks! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Steel throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Knocks jabs Steel right on the nose. Steel blinks but takes it well. Steel throws a right and a left that both miss. Steel swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Knocks just misses with a punch to the body.
Steel looks to land a right hand but Knocks moved out of range. Nice straight punches there by Steel. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Steel.
It looks like Dominoe Knocks has been cut. Good standup being displayed there by Steel as he connects with a hook. A jab from Knocks misses. Knocks throws a right and a left that both miss. Knocks tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Knocks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Steel moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Knocks dodges the punch combination from Steel.
Dominoe Knocks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Knocks moves out of range of the strikes. Steel has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Knocks. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Good exchange - Knocks coming out on top. Nice uppercut lands for Knocks. That snapped Steel's head back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel fails to land with a series of punches.
Steel scores with a sloppy right hand. Knocks should have avoided that one. Knocks connects with a body shot that sends Steel's belly button to the back. Knocks looks to land a combination but Steel avoids it well. Knocks misses the shot to the body. Steel misses with a double jab.
Steel lands with a straight right. Knocks didn't see that one coming. Steel throws out a powerful jab. Knocks tries to move into range but Steel moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Knocks is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Knocks comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Knocks is still on wobbly legs! Can Steel finish him? Knocks throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Knocks seems to have recovered his senses. Steel looks to score with a jab to the body but Knocks is just out of range. Steel misses with a hook
and Knocks counters with a slapping leg kick. Sloppy strikes from Knocks. Those never looked like landing. Knocks falls off balance throwing a combination
and Steel counters with a left to the body. Knocks looks winded!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Steel lands a big uppercut and Knocks crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Knocks looks OK. Steel waves Knocks back to his feet! Steel lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Knocks up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Steel from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Knocks's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cory Steel! In his post fight interview, Cory Steel started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
