The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarzan shoots for a takedown but Darby saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Darby misses the target.
Tarzan shoots for a double leg takedown but Darby sprawls well. He's pushed Tarzan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

enabling Darby to counter with a crisp jab.
John Darby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lithe Tarzan.

Tarzan is trying desperately to land a takedown but Darby is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Tarzan.

and Darby counters with a left and a right that stings Tarzan.
Darby misses with a few strikes there.
A lazy left from Darby finds it's target.
Tarzan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tarzan closes the distance and clinches up with Darby, looking for a takedown. Tarzan pushes Darby against the cage but Darby circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Darby is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
