Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karl Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kowalski comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Reptile Theme kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Roman Kowalski told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Pope.
Kowalski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pope was well out of range. Poor timing from Kowalski.
Pope swats away the attempt to clinch by Kowalski.
Pope pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Kowalski shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Kowalski stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pope.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kowalski tries to keep at a distance but Pope has taken the fight into the clinch.

Pope uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kowalski.

Kowalski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pope swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kowalski is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Karl Pope overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
