0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sven Wegscheider! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wegscheider changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Michaels looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Michaels tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wegscheider takes a little break here. Michaels wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Michaels takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Michaels is looking for a sweep. Michaels is working hard here to advance position. Wegscheider working the body and head with strikes. Wegscheider just content to control the position. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Wegscheider with him. Wegscheider is trying to defend but Michaels has an arm under the chin now! Wegscheider grimaces and is forced to tap out!
