Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wang on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Wang throws a body kick that misses.
Wang ducks under a wild hook from Matsushita.
Wang misses with a low kick as Matsushita jumps back.
Matsushita misses with a body shot.
Wang lands a leg kick that knocks Matsushita off balance momentarily.
Matsushita checks a low kick from Wang.
Wang connects with a leg kick. Matsushita looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wang closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Wang is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Matsushita has managed to free his arm - good work.

Matsushita tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wang wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Kenji Matsushita has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zhijing Wang.

Wang wants to finish this one by submission but Matsushita is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Wang.

Wang has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Matsushita's face.
Wang goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Matsushita turns into him and now he's in Wang's guard.

Wang might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Matsushita kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wang has control of Matsushita's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Matsushita regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Zhijing Wang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Zhijing Wang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Some bone on bone action there as Matsushita checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
A nice inside leg kick there by Wang. That's going to slow Matsushita down.

Matsushita lands with a big left! Wang is wobbled badly! Matsushita comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Wang to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
