Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Donizeti Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ona Tańczy Dla Mnie - Weekend. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Donizeti Souza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rock Lee! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Souza throws a sloppy head kick and Lee moves out of range easily. Souza shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Lee is trying to control the position but Souza postures up. Souza won't allow Lee to sweep him here. Souza controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Souza wanted to stand there but Lee had control of the position. Lee is trying to keep Souza in close.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Souza drives through with a takedown into Lee's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Lee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Souza defends it easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Souza got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Souza has managed to get both his arms back between Lee's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Souza stacks Lee on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Souza! Lee is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Souza asserts his dominance and retains side control. Lee is not content to let Souza control the position. Lee struggling a bit here. Souza stands up. Lee tries to clinch but Souza is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee clinches up with Souza and pushes him back against the cage. Souza manages to break the clinch.

He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Souza works his way back into a safe position though. Lee looks winded! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Souza sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lee's guard. Lee looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Souza is looking to take a break and control but Lee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee looking for submissions off his back. Souza is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee tries to roll over but Souza keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Souza is trying to control the action in half guard but Lee is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Souza is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. It looks like Souza is going to stand back up.
Lee actively working from the bottom here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lee has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Souza is working away from the top position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Donizeti Souza will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lee gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Souza to score an easy takedown into full guard. Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Oh but Lee is tightening it up a little... Souza has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Souza reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Souza taps out! Nice BJJ there by Lee!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Rock Lee! After the fight, Rock Lee was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
