Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sam Nut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pertti Silsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silsa has chosen Candy by Robbie Williams as his entrance music. Sam Nut is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sam Nut!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pertti Silsa!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silsa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nut manages to avoid it.
Nice shot lands for Silsa.

Silsa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nut, pushing him back against the cage.
Nut tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Silsa jumps guard but Nut stands there with Silsa around his waist. Silsa gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Nut using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Silsa has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Nut wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Nut lands a good knee to the midsection. Silsa won't want to take too many of those.
Silsa tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Nut's elbow.
Nut misses with a knee to the head.
Nut lands a damaging elbow.
Silsa lands a right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
With the fighters up against the cage, Nut throws an elbow but misses.

Silsa is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Silsa thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nut's head.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Silsa seems to be looking for submissions.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Silsa connects with a nice short shot to Nut's temple.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Silsa working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Nut is trying to get back to full guard.
Silsa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Silsa tries to bum rush Nut with a series of wild strikes but Nut uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Silsa drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Nut gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nut lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Silsa scores with a hook to the body.
Silsa tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Nut tries to land a knee to the head but Silsa blocks with his arms.

Silsa is looking to take this one to the mat.

Silsa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nut misses with a low kick.

Silsa lands a left and a right that sends Nut crashing to the canvas! Silsa dives into mount looking to finish!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee warns Nut that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


Nut is rocked!
Nut holds on to Silsa around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks.
Nut keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Silsa looking to finish Nut with some ground and pound. This is bad for Nut!
Oh Nut is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
