The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogan with a lazy takedown attempt
and Pavicevic counters with a single leg into guard. Rogan didn't expect that.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Rogan wants to stand and escape but Pavicevic is having none of it.
Pavicevic postures up in Rogan's guard and throws a big left but Rogan blocks it.
Pavicevic wants to pass the guard but Rogan is keeping the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pavicevic's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Pavicevic lands a couple of digs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pavicevic is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Pavicevic stands and throws Rogan's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Pavicevic is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rogan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Pavicevic wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rogan, who protects the arm well.
Rogan gets back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are battling for position here. Rogan manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Pavicevic slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Rogan keeping moving, preventing Pavicevic from controlling successfully.
Pavicevic distracts Rogan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Pavicevic got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rogan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pavicevic has managed to get both his arms back between Rogan's legs - danger averted.

Rogan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pavicevic can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Pavicevic pushes down on Rogan's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Pavicevic seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Rogan is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
