Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kidace Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henry Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kidace Lee!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee throws a nice outside leg kick.
Davis misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Lee fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Davis sprawls well initially but Lee persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Lee seems to be working for a kimura but Davis defends the submission attempt.
Davis keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Davis is not content to let Lee control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davis holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Lee seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Davis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Davis is controlling Lee's position as best he can from this difficult position.

We're going to have a standup here because Henry Davis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Davis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lee's guard.

Davis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lee looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lee looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lee!

Lee wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Davis, who protects the arm well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lee tries to score with some ground and pound. Davis controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
A bit of a lull in the action here.
Davis tries to buck Lee off but Lee is having none of it.

Lee creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Davis sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Lee in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Lee is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Davis has escaped the position, nice work there.
Lee tries to stand but Davis is controlling his head.
Davis sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Lee is trying to work for a kimura but Davis is defending well.
Lee looks winded!
Lee wants to free his trapped foot but Davis is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Lee throwing shots but Davis is blocking nicely.
Davis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Davis tries to get out of the position.
Davis controlling the position for now.
Lee looks to land a strike but Davis avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Davis pulls Lee in close to prevent any damage.
Davis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Henry Davis will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Davis keeps the fight on the outside.
Davis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lee tries to clinch but Davis moves out of range.

Davis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Davis showed some decent athleticism there.
Davis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lee's head.

Davis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Lee moves into full guard.

Davis chips away with some ground and pound.
Davis throws a big elbow that misses.
Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Henry Davis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lee is looking for a triangle but Davis pushes his legs off easily.
Lee is breathing heavily.
Davis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lee manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Davis has Lee in his guard.
Davis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lee on the ground.

Davis is adopting a defensive guard.
Lee has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Davis is proving hard to escape from.
Davis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Davis pulls Lee in close to prevent any damage.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Henry Davis wasn't doing enough on the ground.
No luck for Davis with that takedown attempt.

Lee manages to get to full guard.

Davis postures up and lands a big shot to Lee's brow.
Davis is looking to work some ground and pound but Lee has wrist control.

Lee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Davis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Davis with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Davis postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Henry Davis dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Lee is looking to clinch but Davis is avoiding it.
Lee defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Davis.

Davis closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lee quickly recovers to half guard.

Davis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lee sees it coming and defends easily.

Davis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Davis throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Lee to regain full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Davis winds up and cracks Lee with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Davis landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Henry Davis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Davis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lee tries to get to full guard but Davis has control of the leg.
Davis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lee is defending against the submission attempts here by Davis.
Davis working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Lee's thigh. Lee counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Lee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Davis defends it easily.

Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Davis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kidace Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Davis is working Lee over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Davis cracks Lee with an elbow. That is naaassty.

And that's the end of the fight!
Henry Davis showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Davis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
