The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanven moves into the clinch successfully.
Kanven lands a nice knee to the body.
Pirates drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Pirates goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kanven prevents it.
Pirates blocks the elbow strike.
Pirates works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Pirates drops back looking for a leg! Kanven is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kanven manages to kick Pirates off! Pirates jumps back into Kanven's guard.
Pirates drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pirates jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pirates drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Pirates as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Kanven screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Pirates! Nice submission victory there!
